We have an important meeting (Planning Commission) this Wednesday, May 4, at 6:30 pm in the City Council Chambers. We would very much appreciate your attendance at this meeting to be in support of protecting our neighborhood from the Evans Lane homeless housing project in the Canoas Garden Neighborhood.
There will be speakers representing or community at this meeting. These speakers will address the excessive concentration of similar facilities in the area and their current negative effect on our community, environmental problems, alternative housing suggestions, and other important issues. It has been requested that our concerns be placed first on the agenda as there will be children in attendance. One of our great concerns about this project is the children that will need to walk by the homeless housing every day to an from their school bus or the University Prep school located in the Cathedral of Faith church
Parking will not be difficult. Drive down into the parking garage and go to the back of the garage. There should be plenty of parking available; especially if you arrive early. There is validation so there will not be a parking fee. Take the elevator up one floor, turn right and go the well-marked council chamber.
Please be advised that there will be an upcoming CGNA neighborhood meeting where you will have an opportunity to sign a petition pertaining to opposition to the Evans Lane Project. This will be a 1 hour meeting.
Thanks for your support in our efforts to protect our community. Your attendance is very important and very much appreciated.
